  1. In compliance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 and its regulations, at Citrine Capital Sdn. Bhd. (hereinafter referred to as “Citrine”), we take privacy seriously and are committed to safeguarding personal information shared. This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) contains important information regarding the type of personal details we collect, and what we do with that information; who we may share it with and why; and your choices and rights when it comes to the personal information you have provided us.

    In this policy, kindly note that references to “we”, “us” and “our” are references to Citrine, its employees, and any entity controlled by, under common control with, or controlling, Citrine; and references to our “affiliates” are references to the partners, agents, service providers, and contractors of Citrine.

  2. The type of personal data which we collect from you may vary depending on the nature of our relationship. This includes:-

      • personal information to establish your identity and background such as your full name, national registration identity card number or passport number, nationality, religion, gender;
      • contact information such as residential address, telephone number and mobile phone number, e-mail address, social media account details, or the details of any account you may have with any website or mobile application;
      • sensitive information such as your political affiliations and memberships with any organisations, criminal background, information relating to your ownership of or equity in any companies;

    • Social media platform – if you subscribe, follow, like such pages;

    • Participation in our programmes and events and/or the programmes and events of our affiliates;
    • Publicly available resources – directories;
    • Third parties - our affiliates, regulatory bodies or governmental agencies, the registry of companies, credit rating agencies or similar organisations, the media, marketing consultants, individuals connected to you such as your family members, friends, colleagues, and past and present employers, and/or from such sources that have your consent to share your personal data with us;

  6. You have a right to request for access to and for correction of your personal data and Citrine respects these rights.

    You have the right to request access to your personal data, to request us to correct your personal data, and to withdraw any consent you grant to us to process your personal data. When we receive such requests, we will take reasonable steps to verify your identity before granting access or making corrections to your personal data to protect your privacy and identity. As part of our commitment to keep your personal data secure, if we are unable to verify the identity of the requestor, we may refuse the request. Where personal data is provided to third party organisations, the personal data will only be transferred to such third parties that respect privacy and are under a duty of confidentiality to Citrine.

Our online platform, including our official website and other social media pages may contain links to other websites operated by other parties, such as our business affiliates and partners whose privacy practices may differ to Citrine. Please note that we are not responsible for the collection, use, maintenance, sharing, or disclosure of data and information by such third parties. You are advised to visit the applicable privacy policies of those websites to determine how they will handle any information they collect from you.

  10. Citrine reserves the right to revise or update this Policy on occasion without prior notice to ensure that it remains in adherence to laws and any significant business changes. By engaging and communicating with Citrine, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Policy and agree and consent to the use, processing, disclosure and transfer of your personal data by Citrine as described in this Policy. Should there be a need to retract your consent on processing your personal data, you shall write an email notice to Citrine to cease the processing of your personal data.

    This Privacy Policy was last updated on the date of January 2023 and approved by the Board of Directors.

    This Policy represents the entire understanding between the parties with respect to the subject matter hereof and supersedes all other written or oral agreements with respect to the subject matter hereof.
